Coworking spaces adapt for the post-Covid business model

At HAVYN, a coworking hub in Darien, owner Felicia Rubenstein said that while shared spaces may have catered mainly to individuals like freelancers and entrepreneurs prior to the pandemic, the last 10 months have raised greater awareness of spaces like hers as an alternative to a daily commute or working full time at home. “People are starting to see that it’s really easy to have that flex time, working two days in the office and three days at home,” she said. “It’s accelerated the thinking, and now it’s a proven case that people can work at home and be productive, to a point.”  Read more

Governor Hears Women’s Concerns at Center

Improving the lives of working women was the overall theme of Gov. Ned Lamont’s visit to HAYVN on Tuesday. HAYVN is a coworking center for women that opened last month on the Boston Post Road in Darien. Many of the women at HAYVN are in transition to the workforce after having children. Others are restarting their careers. Lamont toured the facility and chatted with about 30 women professionals, answering quality of life questions that were on their minds. Lamont said HAYVN is an “incubator for female-led start-ups, which is a big piece of our future, which is small business.”  Read more

Fairfield County Get Its First Women’s Focused Co-Working Space

A women-focused co-working space has set up shop in Darien, the Greenwich Time reported. Hayvn at 320 Boston Post Road is the first of its kind in Fairfield County, founder Felicia Rubinstein told the outlet. The space is around 7,000 square feet and includes offices, conference rooms, a podcasting room and “a quiet room for lactation or meditation.” Rubinstein said her own experience running her marketing firm, Maven Marketing, informed her decision to open Hayvn.  Read more

Women-centric coworking space HAYVN opening in Darien: May 11, 2019 

HAYVN, billed as “the first women-centric, flexible,coworking space in Darien,” will open with at 320 Post Road at a ribbon-cutting event on May 14 at 9:30 a.m.

HAYVN’s 7,000-square-foot work space offers single and multi-office spaces, conference rooms, and a podcast room for up to a year commitment. Other features include a welcoming lounge, reception area and kitchenette for open conversations and networking events. Support staff and services — including technology, career, marketing, and financial workshops as well as access to health insurance – are also on offer.  Read more

  

HAYVN featured in VentureMom: April 3, 2019 

With a career in everything from mechanical engineering to marketing, Felicia Rubinstein decided that after 40 years in the workforce, it was time for a break. “I needed to chill for a bit, so my husband and I got an apartment in the city for a couple of months.
