HAYVN Cares + Open Doors Shelter: Volunteer Morning (OFFSITE in Norwalk, Members Only)

HAYVN Cares + Open Doors Shelter: Volunteer Morning

IN-PERSON MEMBER EVENT. OFFSITE.

Wednesday, 11/4/26, 10am-11:30am at Smilow Life Center (enter thru Job Training entrance on side of building)

Join fellow HAYVN members for a morning of service at Open Doors Shelter. From 10–11:30 AM, we’ll volunteer in their Community Closet and Food Pantry, free resources providing clothing, shoes, household essentials, and groceries to low-income individuals and families in our community.

During this 90-minute shift, members will sort donations, restock clothing racks, and organize pantry shelves, keeping the space welcoming and accessible for guests. It’s a hands-on way to support Open Doors’ mission while connecting with other members around a shared purpose.

👟What to Wear:

Volunteers may wear whatever they’re comfortable in. The space has concrete floors, so comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended.
