Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a mandatory marketing tactic if you want your website to be found through search engines like Google. The world of search engine optimization is complex and ever-changing, but you can easily understand the basics, and even a small amount of SEO knowledge can make a big difference. In this class, you will learn proven, repeatable best practices to help you drive targeted traffic to your website. In this workshop you will learn:
– Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization and how it works
– On-page and off-page components
– Keyword management: keyword analysis, competitor analysis
– How to use Google Trends, Google Analytics Google Search Console
The 4-session series will cover:
04/13 – SEO Ranking Factors
We’re going to answer the question “what does SEO mean” and share the essential SEO ranking factors you need to dominate search results. There are numerous SEO ranking factors that help search engines determine which sites should show in search results and how they should rank. If you want your site to claim the top spots on SERPs (search engine results pages), you need to understand what these factors are and how to use them.
04/20 – Find Your Keywords
It all starts with your keywords, one of the main elements of SEO. Your SEO keywords are the words and phrases in your web content that make it possible for people to find your site via search engines. A website that is well optimized for search engines “speaks the same language” as its potential visitor base with keywords for SEO that help connect searchers to your site. Building your list of SEO keywords is a delicate process involving both trial and error, but the basics are easy to understand.
04/27 – On Page & Off Page SEO Factors
On-page and off-page both play their own unique role in improving your website’s ranking. A website with poor on-page SEO but perfect off-page SEO won’t rank as well as a website that is fully optimized for both. In this session we will take a hands on approach to how you can configure your On page and Off Page SEO.
05/04 – Tell Google About Your Business
Now that you know your keywords, and you’ve used them to configure your On page SEO, we have to tell google about your website. In this session, we will cover Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google my Business. Most importantly, you will learn how to submit your sitemap to Google.
