Entrepreneural Women’s Club Monthly Meeting: Unmute Yourself

EWC Members: $35 (includes lunch)

Led by Terri Trespicio
As female founders, business owners, and professionals, our ideas and our voice are our currency. But just because we know we must speak up doesn’t mean it’s always easy to do. At some point, even the most confident among us will be (or has been) shut down, interrupted, or ignored in a professional setting.
We’ve received mixed messages about how best to be heard: Some women learn to “act like a man” and lead with power and authority; others are told to be “nice” and pleasant so that no one is turned off by what might be perceived as aggressive. Fact is, being heard is not a choice between being aggressive or being silent. There’s a spectrum of options that you can adapt to suit your style.
In the Unmute Yourself workshop, you’ll discover how to:
- Approach professional conversations in a whole new way
- Speak up without being fearful of “interrupting”
- Be inclusive and supportive—without putting people on the spot
- Compel attention with authority and assertiveness
- Eliminate habits that undercut your own contributions

The Entrepreneurial Women’s Club was born in 2015 as a way to offer meaningful networking and professional development to women business owners. Since that time, the EWC network has expanded, special friendships have formed and business has happened, all while learning from some pretty amazing speakers. EWC’s mission is to bring smart, supportive women together and watch the magic happen.
When we ask the members what they like best, the #1 answer is “the women in the room”. Words like high quality, warm, welcoming, willing to help one another are heard over and over again. Go to HAYVN.com/EWC to become a member.
