Wyn is the founder of Upstart Business Planning. She works with entrepreneurs to develop plans that answer the questions investors ask most often. Her clients tell her that she makes them think about their businesses from a new perspective. Previously, she was Managing Director of Business Plans International in New York and Co-Director of the Small Business Resource Center at Norwalk Community College. At the college, Wyn mentored aspiring entrepreneurs, taught entrepreneurship, and ran small business events. Before that, she was a marketing communications strategist, helping small businesses to grow their customer base.

As the founder of Upstart Business Planning, Wyn specializes in creating business plans, summaries, and pitch decks that answer the questions that investors, lenders, and customers ask most often. Over the past 25 years, her plans have helped clients raise $100,000 to $10 million in startup or expansion capital. More than 60% of her clients have secured funding, while the typical plan has a one to two percent success rate.

Wyn is also the co-author of The Purpose Is Profit: The Truth about Starting and Building Your Own Business. The book became an Amazon bestseller in their Startups and New Business Enterprises category, maintaining its top spot for over 30 days and earning the #1 Hot New Pick accolade shortly after release. The Purpose Is Profit won an Axiom Silver Award for Best Business Books in Entrepreneurship.

Previously, she was Managing Director of Business Plans International in New York and Co-Director of the Small Business Resource Center at Norwalk Community College. At the college, Wyn mentored aspiring entrepreneurs, taught entrepreneurship, and ran small business events. In addition to working with entrepreneurs, Wyn co-founded At Home in Darien, a local nonprofit supporting seniors who want to stay in their homes and community as they age. She served on the strategic planning committee, wrote the organization’s business plan, and was a long-time board member. In 2021 the Wharton Graduate Emeritus Society recognized her for continued dedication to community service. She has an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
