Strong Savvy Women Monthly Meeting – Invisible Abuse: Understanding Narcissism & Coercive Control

September 14, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Everyone
Virtual or In-Person

Renown expert Dr. Christine Cocchiola is a coercive control advocate who was part of making Jennifers’ Law a reality in Connecticut. This groundbreaking legislation passed last year expanded domestic abuse to include emotional abuse.

The last time Dr. Cocchiola spoke to our group we had a full house so register right away – and grab a friend to come with you so more women are empowered and educated on this topic! We encourage you to come in person so you can ask questions and be part of the supportive group atmosphere – but you may also purchase a virtual ticket and watch the meeting on Zoom.

Our event sponsor is also a champion for women – Women’s Health Practitioner Isabel Bogdan, DNP, WHNP-BC. Her company belev.co specializes in bringing a transformational approach to women’s health care where women gain a spiritual connection to maintain naturally young, strong and beautiful. Bogdan will be sharing her holistic mission to help women at the beginning of our meeting.

Strong Savvy Women meets monthly providing education and support for single, divorced, divorcing or widowed women in our area. Divorce coach Amy Polacko of Freedom Warrior founded the group to prevent single women from feeling alone. As a coach, she empowers women during/after a divorce or toxic relationship and helps them create an amazing next chapter. Strong Savvy Women is under this umbrella and its Facebook community is free for all women, no matter what stage they are at in the process.

The group’s focus is moving forward – by supporting each other, learning from expert speakers and having fun. Past event topics have included Jennifers’ Law, financial tips, managing the emotional rollercoaster of divorce, co-parenting, insider tips from divorce attorneys, self-love and real estate for single women.

Attorney Rosemarie Ferrante of the Divorce Mediation Center of Fairfield County, LLC and New Canaan resident Alison Hamilton of Eagle Ridge Investments LLC are on the group’s advisory board. Admission for this event is $20 and covers admission, snacks and drinks. Strong Savvy Women always protects attendees’ privacy and only takes photos if permission is granted. Advance registration is required through Eventbrite.
