Strong Savvy Women Monthly Meeting: How Do I Trust Again? Healing After Divorce

Psychotherapist Kristin O’Brien will lead an interactive event on healing after divorce and/or trauma.

How do you trust after a divorce or other traumatic event? These experiences can leave people wary of relationships, both romantic and platonic. Our event will focus on healing and moving forward in a healthy way.

Strong Savvy Women’s November 16 event at 7 p.m. at Hayvn in Darien, CT will feature integrative psychotherapist Kristin O’Brien as our sponsor and speaker. She has a practice in Westport, CT and specializes in anxiety, trauma, health issues, divorce and those working in highly stressful environments. O’Brien will tackle how to heal after the breakup of a marriage or relationship, specific strategies for moving on and how to cultivate healthy relationships to achieve a happy life.

While we encourage women to come in person to this interactive talk, virtual tickets will be available on Zoom.Strong Savvy Women meets monthly providing education and support for single, divorced, divorcing or widowed women in our area. Divorce coach Amy Polacko of Freedom Warrior founded the group to prevent single women from feeling alone. As a coach, she empowers women during/after a divorce or toxic relationship and helps them create an amazing next chapter. Strong Savvy Women is under this umbrella and its Facebook community is free for all women, no matter what stage they are at in the process.

The group’s focus is moving forward – by supporting each other, learning from expert speakers and having fun. Past event topics have included Jennifers’ Law, financial tips, managing the emotional rollercoaster of divorce, co-parenting, insider tips from divorce attorneys, self-love and real estate for single women. Attorney Rosemarie Ferrante of the Divorce Mediation Center of Fairfield County, LLC and Alison Hamilton of Eagle Ridge Investments LLC are on the group’s advisory board.

Registration for this event is $20 – for in-person and Zoom tickets. Drinks and snacks will be served. Strong Savvy Women always protects attendees’ privacy and only takes photos if permission is granted.
